At La Yaourtière, we passionately carry on a family tradition of dairy craftsmanship, focused on the artisanal making of homemade custards and flans. The project was founded by Marlène Pelletier, driven by the desire to bring to life the authentic recipes passed down from her grandmother — offering fresh, high-quality dairy products made with care.
In 2023, La Yaourtière joined Maison Mons to continue and expand this beautiful artisanal journey. Together, we share common values: respect for dairy products, a deep commitment to traditional craftsmanship, and an ethical approach rooted in our local heritage.
Traditional flans — a signature of La Yaourtière — are much more than just a dessert: they carry the story of dairy shops and a time-honored gesture from the cheesemonger’s craft. In the past, to avoid wasting eggs and milk nearing expiration, artisans would naturally transform them into homemade flans, flavored to taste and sold in fromageries.
Today, this know-how is lovingly revisited, embracing an anti-waste approach and celebrating the value of dairy products.
