An exceptional Swiss alpine cheese, L’Étivaz AOP is produced in small quantities using ancestral methods. Made only during the alpine grazing season, it offers deep, complex flavours and outstanding character.
Why “1924”?
Well, Roquefort earned its AOC status in 1925, becoming the world’s very first PDO — so we’re just a year ahead, with a touch of humor we named it 1924 !

An iconic Swiss alpine cheese, L’Étivaz AOP is considered one of the great mountain cheeses. Produced exclusively during the summer alpine season at altitudes above 1,000 metres, it is made in limited quantities following time-honoured traditions.
Raw milk is transformed directly in the alpine pastures over a wood fire, giving the cheese its unique aromatic profile. Its cooked pressed paste is both firm and smooth, developing complex, subtly smoky notes with remarkable length on the palate. A rare and precious cheese, reserved for lovers of exceptional products.
