ABONDANCE FERMIER AOP
Our Abondance Fermier AOP (Protected Designation of Origin) is a must-have among mountain cheeses: a delicate yet pronounced flavour, a supple and melting texture, and that unique Savoyard character that makes all the difference on a cheese board. Made exclusively from the raw milk of Abondance, Tarine, or Montbéliarde cows, this AOP cheese embodies the full expertise of the Haute-Savoie alpine pastures.
Carefully selected by our teams directly from the producers, it is then aged in our Tunnel de la Collonge, where it slowly develops its typical aromas: butter, dried fruits, and a subtle peppery note. This precise maturation allows it to express its full identity while preserving an aromatic elegance that everyone can enjoy.

Beneath its golden rind, its supple, melting paste reveals all the richness of alpine milk and traditional Savoyard craftsmanship. A true summer cheese, with a clean, balanced flavour that is always perfectly controlled. Never too strong, never too mild — a model of harmony.
Abondance also stands out for its versatility. On a cheese board, this cow’s cheese brings refinement and authenticity. In the kitchen, it adapts easily to all your culinary ideas: melted, it offers a silky texture ideal for enhancing a Savoyard crust, enriching a gratin, or adding a refined note to your favourite mountain dishes. Sliced, it turns a sandwich, toast, or gourmet burger into a true moment of indulgence.
Enjoy it simply as an aperitif or at the end of a meal with good country bread. This Savoyard cheese pairs beautifully with a dry white wine from Savoie or a light, fruity red, bringing out all its aromatic finesse.
