BRILLAT SAVARIN IGP
Nicknamed the "foie gras of cheeses," Brillat-Savarin is an iconic French cheese, created at the beginning of the last century. It is named after the gastronome Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin. This lactic cheese enriched with cream belongs to the triple-cream family. Its creamy, buttery texture owes its richness to lactic curd enriched with fresh cream, giving it an incomparable smoothness. Brillat-Savarin, cherished by gourmets, delights with its mildness, buttery notes, and a slightly mushroomy surface.
Brillat-Savarin is best enjoyed at the end of a meal, on a cheese platter, or during a gourmet tasting. Its creamy texture is most appreciated at room temperature to reveal all its subtle nuances. Spread on a lightly toasted slice of bread, it offers a smooth and delicate flavour.
When served young, it remains mild and airy; as it matures, its aromas deepen while maintaining an elegant subtlety. It pairs perfectly with champagne or other sparkling wines. For an even more refined experience, it can be complemented with freshly grated black truffle or enjoyed in its truffled version.
Brillat-Savarin is available as a whole piece or a half, catering to all preferences. It can be purchased through our online shop, with careful cold chain delivery (Chronofresh). This triple-cream cheese is crafted with respect for tradition, ideal for enhancing a gourmet platter or offering a moment of indulgence at the table.
